@Joanne: Thank you for your interest in the RAMP SF Academy!

RAMP-SF Academy is a six week job readiness training that will help at-risk youth potentially get into a paid job training program and help them continue their education.

To apply, applicants need to be 18-24 years old, a resident of San Francisco, and willing to take a drug test.

Below is a tentative, general overview of the program schedule:

Six Week Schedule

Week One…………………………………….. Assessment/Team Building
Week Two…………………………………….. Life Skills
Week Three…………………………………… Workplace Skills
Weeks Four/Five…………………………….. Work Experience
Week Six……………………………………… Interviews for Placement

Weekly Schedule (Changes in weeks 4 through 6)

Monday………………………………………… Assignment Review/Special Activity
Tuesday……………………………………….. Classroom Training
Wednesday…………………………………… Classroom Training
Thursday………………………………………. Classroom Training
Friday………………………………………….. Independent Assignments

Participants do get paid a weekly grant while they are in the RAMP Program, here is a grant schedule:

·$100 Weeks 1, 2, & 3
·$125 Week 4
·$135 Week 5
·$150 Week 6

Interested persons should attend a RAMP orientation to learn more about the program, complete an application, and be scheduled for an interview.

Hello – I am the Director of Children and Family Services at a privately funded non-profit shelter here in SF. I want to develop or collaborate with work force development programs on behalf of our parents and young adults who are unemployed and also are seeking stable housing. In particular I have a number of young adults 17, 18+ who are interested in working, but need skill development. I would welcome more information on how to utilize the RAMP Academy resources. I note you have upcmong orientation and would love to host a group of my young adults to participate, perhaps the 3/25 Orientation? I would welcome some further information on the resources/services available.
