<p>The San Francisco Conservation Corps is gearing up for their event season and  is seeking a ZERO WASTE EVENTS LEAD SUPERVISOR and ZERO WASTE EVENTS SUPERVISOR to join our team of dedicated professionals committed to providing job training and educational opportunities to young adult Corpsmembers (trainees) approximately ages 18-26 through community improvement work projects.  </p>
<p>The Zero Waste Events Lead Supervisor and  the Zero Waste Events Supervisor have the unique opportunity to serve as positive role models, instructors, and work task monitors for Corpsmembers.</p>
<p>Projects may include organizing and providing zero waste services for special events, sorting recycling at our sorting facility in the Presidio, and recycling education and outreach. Responsibilities include creating and implementing zero waste plans for special events, ensuring safety on the work site, prioritizing high quality work, and completing work in a timely manner. This position works directly with Corpsmembers to develop basic job skills such as following instructions, goal setting, teamwork, and professionalism.  This position also indirectly supervises other professional staff.</p>

<p>This Way Ahead, a program of Enterprise for High School Students, is recruiting SF high school students ages 16-18 for our training and employment program. To apply youth must attend an Information Session at our office, 200 Pine St, 6th floor. You can call 415-392-7600 ext 319 to sign-up for one of the remaining Information Sessions.</p>
<p><strong>Below are the remaining Information Sessions:</strong></p>
<p>Wednesday, 11/9 at 4:30pm</p>

<p><strong>Program Description</strong></p>
<p>This Way Ahead begins with a 14 week (January-April) Job Readiness and Career Exploration Training. Once youth have completed the training they are eligible to apply for an exclusive 4 month (June-September) paid internship in Gap and Old Navy stores in San   Francisco.</p>
<p><strong>Program Perks:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Through the training youth will gain:
<ul>
<li>Confidence, communication skills and positive decision-making abilities</li>
<li>Job-readiness skills (how to get a job and keep a job)</li>
<li>Access to supportive adult role models</li>
<li>Greater access to employment and career opportunities</li>

<li>$50.00 stipend every two weeks</li>
<li>Free monthly Muni pass</li>
<li>Customer service training from managers at Gap and Old Navy</li>
<li>Possibility of paid 4 month internship in a Gap or Old Navy store</li>
